The service is incredibly unreliable. Some clients have been using them for a long time. It seems every time we have to web ex there are technical difficulties: system crashes, lockups, active-x components. Even without technical problems, the design is just poor. We have to pass around very long urls to join meetings. They are so long that many email clients split them onto two lines making copy/paste difficult. It becomes even worse when we have to pass URLs via phone. All in all, we waste at least 15 minutes a meeting trying to get everyone connected. We've had cases where the meeting had to be postponed all together due to WebEx technical difficulties. This is very disappointing for a "professional" service especially considering that there are free VNC alternatives that work much better.



If you have trouble dealing with a company, your best bet may be for you to contact the Better Business Bureau. Post your company complaints on boards like this one to help educate other consumers. You may also want to report bad companies that have deceptive practices to the FTC. Obviously if you find a company is doing a good job, then the best way for you to help the company is the spread the word!

Research companies yourself before doing business with them. It can save you much time, money, and most importantly leave you with a positive customer experience.
