The service is pretty good in general. All the channels are digital and I think the quality is superior to any analog cable. Occassional hicups do occure causing the picture to distort momentarily but these are uncommon. Although when there are heavy rain storms the reception cuts out completely for hours at a time, and we sit there just waiting for the show to come back on. Even when the rain seems to let up the signal is still gone, I guess it must be something about the clouds. I've never noticed this during a snow storm.

If you have trouble dealing with a company, your best bet may be for you to contact the Better Business Bureau. Post your company complaints on boards like this one to help educate other consumers. You may also want to report bad companies that have deceptive practices to the FTC. Obviously if you find a company is doing a good job, then the best way for you to help the company is the spread the word!

Research companies yourself before doing business with them. It can save you much time, money, and most importantly leave you with a positive customer experience.
